Spirit and Truth seeks "to bring young adults into relationship with Christ through worship of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, study of church teachings and sacred scripture, and celebrations of Catholic traditions, while forming a community of life-giving relationships."
Spirit and Truth is a prayer experience for young adults, especially those of college age. It is a time for young people to come before God with their worries, troubles, sins, and questions, in the company of like-minded people in search of the truth. Because of the intense prayer that occurs at a Spirit & Truth meeting, many people feel very clear and peaceful upon departing. The program itself resembles a mini-retreat. Spirit & Truth becomes a very consoling place for those who desire to be in the company of others who are also in similar places in their lives. Rather than provide college students with merely social events, this initiative offers young people the opportunity to go deep in their relationship with God while forming relationships that are rooted in more than good food and drink. The young people who attend Spirit & Truth will undoubtedly find peace in Christ, bonded friendships, the truths of our faith and life in the Holy Spirit.
